研究方向 (Research Interests)

        1. 玉米资源的收集与鉴定、评价。广泛收集各类玉米种质资源,通过表型鉴定及分子评 价,揭示种质资源的特性,并发掘其中蕴藏的特异遗传变异,为育种及科研服务。

        Collecting and Characterizing of Maize Germplasms. Applying population and molecular genetics approaches to characterize widely collected maize germplasm, including inbred lines, hybrids, open pollinated varieties (landraces), maize-teosinte introgression lines, and so on, and exploit the natural diversity of these resources for high efficiency application in maize breeding and improvement activities.

       2. QTL/基因发掘与功能研究。通过各种自然群体或人工创制的分离群体,发掘控制目标 性状的染色体区段(QTL)或候选基因,结合后续的基因分离与功能解析,明确目标 基因的功能特性。

        Identifying and Functional Accession of Interest QTL/Genes. Detecting candidate QTL/genes for interest traits via natural or constructed segregation populations, and discovering the functional mechanism of these QTL/genes.

        3. 鲜食玉米资源开发与品种培育。基于资源收集及鉴定结果,开发特用的甜、糯、笋用 资源,用于相应的鲜食玉米品种培育。

      Germplasm Developing and Breeding of Fresh Corn. Developing special lines of sweet, waxy, and baby corn based on germplasm collection and characterization, and applying these lines in breeding activities to develop new fresh corn varieties.
